Can someone proofread this for me?

To To Whom It May Concern:
My name is ___ , and I am enrolled as an out of state, independent student.
I recently moved to California from New Jersey due to family.
My mother is a single parent that takes care of six siblings while working the night shift just to make ends meet.
Unfortunately, I am currently unemployed and I am seeking employment wherever it is available. Because of this,
I am unable to pay the $222 payment for the due date
I ask that the school give me permission to
postpone my due date payment and keep my classes held until i receive my financial aid.
