Can someone proofread my essay?

So I am doing this essay and I have had a peer read over this and I have myself but I know there are probably lots of errors since I suck at just grammar. Please check for punctuation too. Any feedback of issues I may have done wrong in the essay is appreciated.

In Shakespeare’s play “The Merchant of Venice” the character Shylock seeks revenge on others. A vengeful person is a person who wants to harm a person who has hurt them. Shylock seeks revenge on many people due to his religion and business practices. Shylock’s vengefulness towards Antonio leads to half his assets taken away from him and converting to Christianity.
Shylock is a vengeful person. In the play Antonio’s friend Bassanio wants to borrow 3000 ducats from him but all of Antonio’s ships are out at sea so he cannot. Antonio says to Bassanio if he can find someone who will lend him such amount of money he would pay it off on behalf of him. Bassanio finds Shylock who is willing to lend him 3000 ducats interest free but if Antonio does not pay it off within three months Shylock gets one pound of his flesh. Shylock says: “To bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else, it will feed my revenge” (Merchant of Venice. 3. 1. 49-50). Because Shylock says that taking a pound of Antonio’s flesh will feed his revenge proves that he is vengeful. This is true since taking a pound of Antonio’s flesh would hurt Antonio which would make Shylock feel happy due to all the things Antonio has done to him. Therefore, because Shylock wants to hurt Antonio for all the hurtful things he has done to him proves that he is a vengeful person.
Shylock not only showed vengefulness towards Antonio but also his daughter Jessica. In the play Jessica is in love with Lorenzo and wants to marry him and become Christian. But her father Shylock is very strict and would never let her get married to a Christian. So Jessica devises a plan to escape so her father will not know until she is gone. While Shylock is distracted at the supper Jessica escapes with Lorenzo and brought a casket full of ducats and many jewels. Shylock says: “I would my daughter were dead at my foot, and the jewels in her ear!” (Merchant of Venice. 3. 1. 82-83). Tubal tells him that Jessica frivolously spends the money she stole, sending Shylock into a rage. He says he wishes his daughter was dead with all the jewels in her ear which means he wants revenge on her for the things she has done. Therefore, because Shylock wants his daughter dead means he wants to get revenge on her which proves that he is a vengeful person.
Throughout the story, Shylock demonstrates his vengefulness towards Antonio and Jessica. Shylock says up front that the only reason he wants a pound of Antonio’s flesh is to feed his revenge since it will not benefit him and another way. He also wishes his own daughter Jessica was dead, which would feed his revenge towards her. It is Shylock’s vengefulness towards Antonio which leads to half his assets taken away from him and converting to Christianity. If he had not been vengeful towards Antonio this would not have happened.
