Can someone proof read my motivational letter for PhD?

Hello! I am writing a motivational letter to apply for a PhD position reserching autism and I would appreciate it if someone could proof read it and help correct any mistakes I 've made. Here is the letter:

With this letter I hereby would like to express my motivation for a PhD programme in “...........” by the University of ......

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Primary Education at the University of ........, in June 20** and almost immediately (October 20**) set sail to my M.Sc. “Technology Education and Digital Systems” at the University of ......., urged by my profound passion about computers. Being a teacher who wanted to go digital, I chose to specialize in “e-Learning”. My thesis involved the creation of a web portal primarily addressed to teachers who want to use comics as an educational means in classroom.

By the time I was finishing my thesis, I got offered a job as a Technology Education Specialist in a large company named .......... My duties involved the customization of a Learning Management System for schools based on Microsoft SharePoint and the training of teachers on how to use this system efficiently and effectively in everyday practice. About a year later, I got a more competitive offer and joined the team of E..... LTD, the biggest and most well-known Greek firm specializing in the educational sector. There, I committed to researching for new cutting-edge technologies for schools, like Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems and especially one-to-one projects using tablets in classroom. In cooperation with Samsung, I leaded the “Smart Classrooms” teachers training program for ten schools in Greece.

Having accumulated all this knowledge from my work as an R&D engineer and adult trainer, I felt the need to return back in classrooms to implement everything myself to students. The forthcoming school year found me working as a primary school teacher of twenty 8 years old third graders. Using new technologies in classroom was very helpful, but I came across a difficulty I had not anticipated. As stated before, my class consisted of twenty students, one of which had dyslexia, two had Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and one had Generalized Anxiety Disorder. That reminded me of my first year as a teacher, when I had a student with Asperger syndrome and one with psycho-emotional problems.

It is worth mentioning here my personal experience with autism. My husband has a son from his previous marriage. As soon as I met the child, I noticed some rather concerning signs in the child’s behavior. I urged my husband to seek professional help. The child has been diagnosed in the autistic spectrum with Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Carefully following the child’s therapies and being constantly in contact with his ergotherapist, logotherapist and psychiatrist, I have come to realize that the number of children with special educational needs is increasing.

It is almost three years now that I have been involved in researching autism as I felt obliged to help my husband’s son and my students. Finding appropriate material and adjusting it to my children’s needs, reading and implementing different educational methods, I got involved with autism and made a difference in my children’s lives. So, I recently decided to pursue a second master in “Special Education” by the University of ............ in order to reinforce my skills.

Since I was a child I was very keen on studying and I always wanted to learn more. This urge about learning led me to study four foreign languages wishing to learn even more, this same urge has me now on my second master degree and this very same urge makes me apply for a PhD position.

I strongly believe that my good academic record, my motivation and my personal experience with autism would make me a strong candidate for the Ph.D. program and hopefully I could pursue an academic career in the future. I would be honored if you decide to accept my candidateship to be a PhD student at the University......... .
