Can someone please tell me whether I should use "in to" or "into" in this sentence?

I am trying to write an email and have just become stumped. Should I write

"I came into your work"

or

"I came in to your work" ?

Thanks!

I'm not sure that either is the natural way to express what you mean, but it's hard to be sure without more information. What exactly do you mean by "came in(to) your work"?
