Can someone please help me with the form

Could someone please help me with the forms for the following three sentences.
The students had left when the bell rang.
The students left when the bell rang.
The students were leaving when the bell rang .

i really need help with the form of the above sentences and tense. As in subject pronoun- verb -past simple tense
also i need help in the same way with this sentence: They stopped to talk to each other , and , they stopped talking to each other.

 They stopped to talk to each other = they stopped what they were doing (walking, maybe) and started talking to each other. 
Walk, then talk. 
They stopped talking to each other = they were talking to each other, then they stopped and (walked maybe). 
Talk, then walk. 
It's similar to:  I must remember to lock the door. (Something I have to do in the future)
Remember, then lock
