Reimbursement is the dollar amount paid the person who has spent his own money for others. e.g. Sam went to London for a two-day conference last week. He spent a total of $500 on taxi, and dinners. He is still waiting for the reimbursement.

If you buy certain item online with your credit card, but end up returning it to the vendor; this credit reversal is called refund.

I'm sorry for the confusion, other dept is using XYZ credit card for construction charges. So that dept needs to reimburse XYZ every month.
Thank you so much guys.

kolokoyI'm sorry for the confusion,
I was not confused.

Another department is using Mr. Smith's credit card for their department's charges. So that department needs to reimburse Mr. Smith every month.

I suppose the reimbursement would be given to Mr. Smith before the due date on his credit card.
