Hope Walks for ALS
On Saturday, October 30, the ALS Hope Foundation will begin its third annual Hope Walks for
ALS and everybody is invited to attend. Registration begins at 10 A.M. and is followed by a 4.3
mile walk around Newtown Square, Pennsylvania starting at 10:30 A.M.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease that results in complete paralysis and death within
two or three years. There is no known cure for ALS and the disease can strike anyone at any age.
Some of the symptoms include: fatigue arms and legs fatigue, muscle cramps, and involuntary
periods of laughing or crying.
ALS is also a costly disease, emotionally, physically and financially. The Hope Walks is here to
raise money to support excellent clinical care and research to help find a cure and to help
victims of this terrible disease.
So, join us at Ridley Creek State Park for a day of laughs and fun while helping to make a
difference in the lives of people who are affected by this disease.
