can someone tell how to use the following sentences

1. Please come and find me!
2 Please come to find me!

How to use the sentences correctly? A woman might say to her husband, You go and park the car. I'm going into this big store. I don't know what section I'll be in, so please come and find me.

Can I use this as a segue for my current pet peeve? "The negotiators are going to try and reach a resolution before they break for the weekend."

I think "come and find me" is okay, but "try and reach" is not.

What do you think?

I think it's mostly British, but is often heard in the U.S. as well.
I once read an EFL book in French. It stated quite explicitly that "try" is a 'exception' and uses 'and' instead of 'to' as a link word to the next verb! Go figure.

Does that mean instead of saying "Arghh!" when I hear it, I should say "Ah, oui!"

"Ah, oui" is good. "Cheers!" is better!

Thanks for all of you,I am very much happy now,because I was taught by my english teacher saying that 'Please come to find me' is a wrong sentence, and marked me as not capble in english,deadly sad....=(... that had made me feel bad and low confident...Clive, where are u from? i shd say many thanks once again....
