ANSWERS

My most rewarding courses are Algebra, and Geometry. I have always been fascinated by mathematical studies, and had a flair for the subject. Mathematics is a subject that I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout my school years. The challenge of thinking and the process of logic has always attracted me to mathematical problems. Recently in my Algebra 2 class, we explored the idea of building a business from an entrepreneurial perspective. We created every detail including human capital, consumers, and capital goods. This project like really showed me what it takes to be an entrepreneurial.
During the Harvard Summer School, I would like to take courses; Public Speaking, and Intermediate and Advance Acting Contemporary texts. I choose those two courses, with reasons, to improve my acting techniques. I believe taking a Public Speaking course would improve my presentation and public confidence. As an inspiring actress, I’m beginning to work on developing my craft for acting now. As I continue to be involved in Mosaic Youth Theatre, I believe my talent will get better with hard work.
My favorite nonacademic activity is participating in theatric performing art. I perform with a local Detroit youth theatre group, Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit. We study theatre art contemporary work, historical plays, and William Shakespeare. Mosaic creates original plays focusing on the lives of teenagers, with modern adaptations of classics and true stories of teen life throughout Detroit’s history.
My most interesting book, I've recently read was Forged by Fire. This book is a part of a book series. The stories takes the audience through a troubling teenage boy’s life. Some of the events in the character’s life, I can relate to. The character is faced with the death of his best friend and three years ago, I lost my Aunt who was my best friend. His mother had abandoned him when he was a young child and he was raised by family. I went through something similar when I was younger. The book is very emotionally connecting for me, and is my favorite book.
No, I never have incurred serious or repeated disciplinary action, or have been suspended.
