Prompt: Imagine being able to join a conversation between two people, living or deceased. Identify the people and topic and express what you would like to ask and learn from them.

Walking down the street, on a windy autumn day, I begin to ponder. I wonder who are the two people in the world I would to talk to if I had the opportunity to. I think of Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, and even Lady Gaga. All of these people have contributed to the nation, either if it’s abolishing slavery or if it’s campaigning against bullying. My heart tells me these people are not who I truly wish to have a conversation with. My head tells me these people are logical. My heart and brain fight, arguing back and forth, but eventually my heart wins.

As I listen to my beating heart, I remember the two people in the world who have impacted my life. Although I have never met the people, my life has taken a path based on my two role models. I remember the fateful day that took away the chance to talk to one of my youngest role models. Due to Leukemia, my grandfather was sent to live happily with the angels.

I begin to fantasize about coming across a genie and finally have the chance raise my grandfather from the dead. I know I would spend every second, minute, hour of the day asking my curiosities away. I would ask about his life, about his dreams, about his wishes, about the animals he took care when he was young. I want to learn what he was like and what he wanted to be other than a farmer. I am curious about his life after he was diagnosed with the fatal cancer.
With the wind blowing through my hair and the multi-colored leaves jumping around, I begin to remember what I have always wanted to learn from my grandfather. I also wanted to know who he really was and how he managed to teach my mom to be a strong independent woman that she is now.

My head is full of curiosities and fantasies about my grandfather. I feel the blood gushing to my cheeks and my eyes watering with the mere thought of having a conversation with him. I’m losing sense of reality but I cannot escape the perfect world with my papa.

With a big smack of a bright orange leaf, I am brought back to reality. The sunshine in my eyes burns them and I realize my fingers are numb. I turn around and I see something that reminds me of someone who has always been there. I see the “x”.

Although I do not want to leave my shell of perfection with papa, I know my next influence is up there in the sky with him. Many doubt his existence but God has guided me through some patches of thrones.

With the stinging of my cheeks and the pain in my fingers, I think of what I could possibly say to God. I look up in the sky to catch a glimpse of the guy with the unknown face. With a bright light in front of me, I can imagine myself asking why. Why create the human race? Why have my existence on the earth? Why take papa away so soon? Why love us soo much?

I want to know everything about everything. I want to learn more about God and how he manages to do everything he does. I just want to hug him tight and sit there, finding out the most I can about his life, about his ideas, and anything I can.
