can someone explain this

is this correct: Why does my hands shake? hands is plural, so it should be, Why do my hands shake? Right? coz i've watched an english movie, and one of the character said "Why does my hands shake?", - makes me confuse. So, what's the correct one?

I can't comment on whether you actually heard the sentence in the movie correctly. Are you sure the person said 'hands' rather than 'hand'?

However, you are right about the grammar if the word 'hands' was used: "Why do my hands shake?" is grammatically correct.
