Can someone correct this essay, and give me some advises for my writing skills, please?

What would you change about your hometown?
The city where I come from was the first town ever founded in the whole American continent. Anyone could thing that this city should be one of the most modern cities of America, because of being the oldest, but on the contrary, sadly, the living conditions are actually really low, and honestly that makes me think in a wide range of things that I would like to change to make it a better city, and increase the living conditions for citizens, which could also bring happiness for everybody no matter their age. So, in the following essay I’ll mention just a few things that I would change about my hometown, and explain why.
Firstly, the cleanness is one of the things that comes to my mind rapidly. People are not aware about the importance of maintaining the city clean. I have witnessed people who throw bottles or dirty diapers to the streets while driving. Also, because of how dirty it might get, it could cause nausea in some parts of the city, especially during the informal commerce of the day. This is in all ways a negative factor; there is disgust, lack of healthiness, it sprouts diseases, and so on... I would like to put recycle bins, advertisements of ambient sustainability, and public events that promote the importance of maintaining our hometown in healthy conditions.
Resulting from what I said before, stray dogs or cats get sicker because of the expired foods in the streets, and also get grimier because of the dirty that lies in all roads. These cats and dogs have no one who takes care of them. Certainly, I would raise a foundation that saved them from the streets, give them shelter, feed and cure them and at last try to find them a home. Also, make public events to prevent the animal abuse or maltreatment.
Another aspect that I would like to change about my hometown is the disorganized public transport, also the lack of it, and the bad conditions this vehicles are in. One with a quick squint to the public transport in my hometown is enough to realize this and more. I would like to change this by adding more transport Medias, eliminate the busses and taxis in catastrophic conditions, including more transport ruts and specific bus stops. Correspondingly, harvest conscience in people about maintaining the transports, by this I mean no making graffiti inside the buses, no destroying the upholstery, etc.
However, I could keep on mentioning things about what I would like to change about my hometown, and having reasons for supporting those. But, developing them just makes me think on bad aspects about my hometown, and that`s not pleasant for me, however, if I had the chance of changing something, I definitely would, but if I hadn`t, I would keep doing my best and my little contribution for my little hometown, even if it is considered a minimum aid. And like the old saying “If you want to change the world, you have to start with yourself”.
