Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879. in Ulm, Germany. His father was Hermann Einstein and his mother was Pauline Einstein. He had sister called Maja. After his father's company failed, his family moved to Italy, but Einstein stayed in Germany because he had to finish his studies. He received good grades but his real studies were done at home by reading science and math books. After few months, he convinced school to let him travel to Italy by using fake note. After spending a year in Italy, he moved to Switzerland where he passed Swiss Matura. After Swiss Matura he had a hard time finding a job. He had 2 wives, Mileva Maric (1903. - 1919.) and Elsa Löwenthal (1919. - 1936.). He had only 2 sons and 1 daughter with first wife, but Einstein never saw their daughter. Contents of the letter he wrote to his wife suggest that she was either adopted or died. He was a theoretical physicist. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics. In 1921 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect. He is known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E=mc^2. He published more than 300 scientific papers and over 150 non-scientific works. His originality and intellectual achievements have made the word Einstein synonymous with genius. In 1940. Einstein moved from Germany to America because of World War II. He informed American president Roosevelt about Hitler developing atomic bomb so America started developing one too. He died on 17 April 1955 at New Jersey at the age of 76.
