Can somebody please choose the correct answer and explain?

-Do you live ________ near Joe?

-No, he lives in another part of town

Should I put SOMEWHERE or ANYWHERE in the blank?

Thank you!

Both are possible. They mean roughly the same. "somewhere" may suggest a greater expectation that they do live near to one another, but this is not a clear cut difference.
