In terms of the advantages of food advertising on social media, it gives great opportunities for viewers to learn how to cook some new dishes. Today's food advertisements on a social platform such as Facebook, TV, Instagram are often accompanied by the cooking process and instructions, allowing watchers to follow the recipe and maybe create a new dish on their own. Another key benefit is that these contents stimulate the appetite of people who watch them through networking sites. That is because that food-related programs often show compelling pictures or videos to appeal to viewers will increase the desire to eat. For example, according to a survey, 8 out of 10 people feel more craving after watching Mukbang, the famous food-related channel. On the other hand, the disadvantages of food-related content on social networking sites are also at a high level. We cannot guarantee whether or not these food products advertised on social networks are safe for public health. It means that we do not directly test what ingredients this product contains and how it is manufactured, which will have effects on human health if it contains allergenic substances to some people. Therefore, these food-related contents are uncertain about food safety. In conclusion, although the widespread of social media consisting of food is beneficial for humans, it also has some drawbacks.
