Can somebody check my grammar? thank you~

The mask that I have made is based on the novel, Lord of the Flies by William Golding. This book was written after the World War II. The story is about a group of boys who are stranded on an uninhabited island and they must learn how to survive without any grownups. Some of the characters either stayed civilized or become savages and wild. The character Ralph from the story is one of the groups of boys that is civilized, has a good leadership and understanding of the human morals and ethics, and he also values honor more than fear. In the book, Ralph shows that he is civilized because he is the one who came with an idea to make the first law so the boys could survive on the island.
Ralph shows his civilized character various times throughout the novel. The first example was when he said “"That's what this shell's called. I'll give the conch to the next person to speak. He can hold it when he's speaking."” (25) showing that he is civilized and he gives chance to others to speak up. This was portrayed on the mask by the conch on his left eye; the conch represents justice that made Ralph a civilized person. There is also another example, it was when he said “"There's another thing. We can help them to find us. If a ship comes near the island they may not notice us. So we must make smoke on top of the mountain. We must make a fire."”(29-30) showing that Ralph wants the boys and him to be rescued. This was illustrated on the mask by the fire symbol on his right eye; this represents that he wants to go back to his society. The third example was when Jack was “breaking the rules!” (79) showing his disagreement about Jack when Jack spoke without the conch while the other person is speaking. This was illustrated on the mask by the color silver; this represents maturity and thoughtfulness towards other boys. The last example was when the officer “should have thought that a pack of British boys--you're all British.” (182) showing that Ralph came from a British which a civilized society. This was depicted on the mask by the motif of the British flag; this represents a culture of society with norms and human ethics.
Ralph shows his civilized trait in the time where he got chosen as a leader. The three features on the mask; the conch and fire, the color silver, and the British flag motif all represent Ralph’s trait. In the novel, Lord of the Flies, Ralph through his actions represent his nature civilization trait within the group of boys. This represents the message of the novel because it shows that when a group without a civilized leader, they will lose their rational way of thinking and they will live in anarchy and become savages. At some point, when you are a leader, you need to listen to others so they will listen to you.
