My Korea in Lithuania
Everything started when I was in my last year of music school when I was introduced to Yiruma‘s compositions. I fell in love with his music. I could play it on my piano all day long without getting tired.
So after a few years when I enrolled in university I became curious about the country of that brilliant musician and I've discovered so many amazing things.
First of all, the language was so much different, all those characters, structure. I became eager to learn it. After a year of intense studying on my own I was already able to read some books in korean even though I couldn't understand everything I still could catch up with the context.
And I fell in love with webtoons.
Apart from studying korean language I participated in many korean cultural events held in my country to get a deeper understanding in korean culture, traditions and history.
I even enrolled in Taekwondo class.
And let‘s not forget about the delicious spicy food (especially my favorite fire noodles). It‘s a bit hard to get some korean food in Lithuania. Well at least it‘s possible to get some korean noodles.
And what goes well with noodles ? It‘s korean drama. Although they can be very sad.
During all this time I met a lot of great people and made a lot of friends with whom I share many unforgettable memories.
What‘s most important is making friendships that last forever.
Thank you Korea.
