Although online education plays an important role in our life, it has both positive and negative aspects. Firstly, it will obviously possess several advantages. One of the most obvious benefits is distance learning allows students to attend classes from any location. This means rather than being stuck in a classroom, they can enroll in any online degree program offered by their university but only sit or lie in their bedroom or a place of their comfort zone, wherever they want. Another key advantage of online education is that it can give opportunities for students to have a flexible time schedule instead of adjusting to a predetermined time. This is because if students accidentally miss several lectures, they will still keep up with the process of lessons by reviewing the recordings. A good example is after spending their time working part-time in the morning, they can study in solitude at home with online lectures. On the other hand, distance learning may bring some disadvantages. In the long term, it will result in health-related concerns for people who have to utilize and work with it on a daily basis. Online education requires the use of computers and other such devices, and people who devote a huge amount of time to work with only staring at a screen will have to be suffered from some diseases related to the eyes, even lumbar spines. This means having negative impacts on their physical health. In addition, the chance of distraction when learning online will be higher than studying in a classroom. They will lose attention by background noises or sounds which they can’t control in comparison with learning in the quiet school environment. In conclusion, distance learning can bring us benefits and drawbacks.
