Essay & Composition Writing

can some one please edit this essay for me....................

Imagine working extremely hard to make it through something when no one believes in you and when you ultimately make it through, and you get shut down as well as disparaged by your superiors. The movie Stand and Deliver showed a common illustration of students requirements not being come across at Garfield High School. This movie took place in 1982. When a new teacher, Jamie Escalante arrives he alters the students view of school. Mr. Escalante was an influential man who greatly believed in his students. Nevertheless, Mr. Escalante manipulate different techniques to inspire his students to become more successful in math, and in life.

Angel was one of the Hispanic students, who was a pest looking for his real image. Mr. Escalante helped him find himself by getting under his skin. One of the finest techniques, Mr. Escalante used to motivate his students were to create a close relationship with them. In addition, he could relate to his students linguistically and culturally. For instance, the night before the final exam he had invited some students over to his house. He helped students study for the test and then he cooked dinner for them.

Mr. Escalante motivated his students to learn better by presenting learning material in different methods. Mr. Escalante never lectured his students, instead he used techniques that were easy to understand for students. For example, Mr. Escalante brought in apples for the whole class and cut certain sized slices out of the apples. Instead of lecturing the students about fractions, he brought a visual to help them see and feel what they were learning.

Concisely, I was astonished when the eighteen students in Garfield High School took the advanced placement Calculus final exam, passed, and then were accused of cheating. It was erroneous of the Board of Education to accuse the students of cheating and to ask them to retake the test. However, it gave the students a greater sense of self-confidence which will allow them to succeed in new tasks in their lives. In a nutshell, Mr. Escalante affected the self- perception and the views of education for different individuals. Moreover, a whole lot was accomplished because of the desire that was instilled in the students through their teacher.
