Can "prepare" also be a noune? (in Steaven Job's speech)

I started wondering if it's just a mistake or not while I was reading Steaven Job's speech.

It is this part.

My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die.

I don't understand how "prepare" can come after "for" which is a preposition. I think it should be "preparation" or preparing. Please explain to me this structure. Thank you.
