Can one specialise in a wide range of x

I am working on my cv and would like to know if writing that I specialise in a wide range of x is possible or if this is bad english. I think its an oxymoron but a google search of the phrase shows its usage by many companies. Is anyone able to offer any guidance? Thanks Ed.
