Can one person give a standing ovation?

Mary's song ends. Jeff gives her a standing ovation.

Is this OK or can one person not give a standing ovation for some reason? Thanks.

anonymous Is this OK or can one person not give a standing ovation for some reason? That's fine if Jeff is the only one there. It's obviously tongue-in-cheek.

  • If the rest of the crowd sits there silent, you have to say more because "ovation" always refers to an audience.
