Can I walk you home/Can I give you a ride?

After a date, does "Can I walk you home?" includes/implies taking a cab or the subway as part of the journey?

What is the correct expression?

(not driving so I suppose I cannot use "Can I give you a ride")

Sorry maybe this is quite elementary.

Thanks.
