Can I use when here?

"I will get my books from you when you are in the office". Can I use while instead of when?

Thanks!

Hi, Yes. But I wouldn't say the two sentences have exactly the same shade of meaning. Clive

Hi Clive,

What is the difference? Does 'while' indicate that his presence in the office is a longer event? What does 'ehrn' imply?

Thanks again!

I'm sorry! That was a typographical error. I actually meant "What does when" imply?

What does 'ehrn' imply? It implies a polite cough.
