Can I use the article "The" and at the same time "Plural nouns"?

For example I know that I can say : The movie tickets but my teacher told me that in plural nouns we use article zero, such as " I love cats" why not I love the cats?. Can explain me it? Thanks in advance teachers.

You can say "I love the cats", but only if you are referring to a previously mentioned group of animals. You can see lots of cats and dogs in that park. I love the cats, but I don't really like the dogs.

I love all cats. I love every cat. It doesn't matter which.
Piplot I love the cats
I love (only) those cats that I have already mentioned. I love (only) those cats that we are talking about now.
