Can I use "could" to answer questions start with "Could"?

0A: 01b00Could02b00 I see you tomorrow, then?02br
02br
00B: Yes, you 01b01font00could02font02b00.02br
02br
00One of my grammar books says we can use01b00 01font00"could"02font02b00 as a substitute of "can"(in the case of giving the permission, like the above example), and they are interchangeable.02br
02br
00But another grammar book says we do not use 01b01font00"could" 02font02b00to give or refuse permission.02br
02br
00May I ask which of them is true? Thank you very much for your reply!0-

0 Hi,02br
00I'd say you can use "could" when asking permission, but not when you want to give it.02br
02br
00Yes, you could. <--- Sounds to me like you are saying "Yes, you would be able to" or "Yes, you might, or you might not".02br
02br
00So I would answer:02br
01b00Yes (you can).02br
00Sure.02br
