can I use past perfect because she is not alive

Hi everyone

I want to talk about my grandmother who is not alive now ,which tense should I use here ? can I use past perfect because she is not alive and the graduation was before than her death ?

she had graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University or
she was graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University

She graduated or she was graduated (they mean the same thing).
