Can I use "have an appointment" in Continuous?

As in the subject: can I say 'I'm having an appointment this evening' or only 'I have an appointment' is correct?
Thanks for an answer:)

In my opinion, it's not idiomatic. You sometimes hear it used for "session," but I don't think it's correct. I'm having an appointment with my psychiatrist/hairdresser this afternoon.
