Can I use frequency adverbs before the auxiliary verb?

I understand that placing them between the auxiliary verb and the main verb is the most commonly seen form, but would such a construction:

"My mother usually doesn't get on well with my friends."
instead of
"My mother doesn't usually get on well with my friends."

be grammatically incorrect?

Thank you.

Hm, thanks, but I'm looking for a source that confirms that placing frequency adverbs before both the auxiliary and the main verb is also acceptable.
