Can i use determiners with plural / non count nouns?

examples:

The people are obnoxious. << Isn't people plural?

The classes are ruined.

The basic laws of human stupidity.

The books were robbed.

No. the is a determiner, and it's listed on the right branch of that chart with plurals. Obviously you can't use the determiners a or an (which mean 'one') with plurals. But all other determiners are available to you.
