Can I use 'Besides, it' and 'It also' interchangeably in the sentence?

“Knowledge is power” is a proverb that has certainly taught everybody to study and learn for his own benefits. It inspires everyone to cherish lifelong learning. (Besides, it/It also) motivates everyone to treasure education as something that can never be stolen.
