Can I switch the lamp on?

Hi,

During the daytime...

"Can I switch the lamp on?" My kid asked.

"Yes, you can." I said.

"Just switch it on for a while."

"Just light it for a while."

"Just leave it on for a while."

"Just keep it on for a while."

"Just leave it lit for a while."

"Just keep it lighted for while."

Can you correct these sentences? What are other more proper expressions?

Thank you very much!

Stephen

These are OK:

"Can I switch/turn the lamp on?" my kid asked.

"Yes, you can," I said.

"But just switch/turn it on for a while."

"But just leave it on for a while."

"But just keep it on for a while."

Thank you very much!

I was afraid that "switch it on for a while" can't pass,

because switch describes an instant action, while for a while describes a continuous state,

but it did. It surprised me.

Can you explain?
