Can I say like this in a phone conversation?

Hi friend,
Have you found my ID card?

Top answer

We don't usually say things like "Hi friend," If your friend was looking for your lost card (you were sure you lost it at his house, and he promised to look for it, for example) then the second part of your sentence is okay. Veeru, I've lost my ID card. Have you seen it, by any chance?
