Can I have some feedback on this Erasmus motivation letter?

I am writing to express my interest in studying a semester at your University and to explain my motivation and the reasons why I chose the University of XXX specifically.
Currently, I am student of Translation Studies and Interpretation: English for European Institutions and Economics at the Faculty of Arts at XXX University. I am in my sixth semester right now and I am supposed to submit my thesis, which I am writing in the field of English syntax, and get my Bachelor’s Degree in June.
As a high school I studied in XXX, Germany for some time and at 14 years old I discovered I enjoyed traveling, studying abroad, discovering new cultures and languages. That, coupled with a genuine interest in intercultural communication, was my primary reason for applying for the Erasmus program.
Being a student of translation and interpretation and being interested in foreign cultures, I was very impressed with the variety and focus of the courses offered by your Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures (Facolta di Letterature e Lingue Straniere) and I immediately gravitated towards the courses focused on linguistics and English and American language and culture. I believe they would complement my studies very well and constitute a valuable cultural addition to my education.
Another reason for my choosing your University is my desire to perfect my Italian, which I have been studying for some time now. In that aspect, attending lectures and seminars, some of which are taught bilingually and some of which are held in Italian would have a great positive impact on me.
I am sure that apart from being a tremendous academic, professional and personal experience, studying at your University would also contribute significantly to my language skills.
