Can 'I got carried away' be used?
Hi. Can you please help me understand a phrase" got carried away"?
While you are driving you almost hit someone accidently because you were thinking about someting and didnt focus on the road.
In a case of that , saying " Sorry, I got carried away." would mean that I was thinking about something important so my mind was away while driving ??
I would appreciate your answer.
