Can I call a fitness center a Health club?

So far, I have thought that the word, "Health club" is not used in USA or other English speaking countries. However I found it in an English article yesterday. So I am wondering whether I can call a fitness center a Health club.

Could you tell me whether I can or not?

'Health club' is a term from an older era, from the 50s and 60s, I think. Now we say 'sports club/center' or 'fitness club/center'. I at least also say simply 'gym': I'm going to the gym this morning '.
