Can gesture be pronounced with a hard g?

When I was younger I thought so, as my sister recently reminded me. Doesn't seem likely, considering Latin derivation. Then I remember the 'Speak As You Spell" movement, and wonder if there was ever such a pronunciation.

I don't think gesture can. But Gesundheit, which is normally right next to gesture in a dictionary, is.
