Can "detest" be used as a noun
A cover letter recently came across my desk with the phrase:
"My love of winning is only outweighed by my detest for losing. "
Is this a proper use of the word detest? I think the answer is no, but my colleagues dissagree.
Please help, a beer is on the line!
