Can be this for them and that to them?

Hi. Please help. Are these correct ? Should they be rewritten? Is the word "both" in no. 2 correctly used? I think no. 3 is incorrect because the part "to some people" doesn't apply to "lovely to carry" (in addition to being uncertain about the use of the word "both" there.

1. It can be lovely to carry for some people and also useful to some people.

2. It can be both lovely to carry for some people and useful to some people.

3. It can be both lovely to carry and useful to some people.

The original sentences are odd anyway; their meaning is quite murky. These are OK, if they approach your intent: 1. It can be a lovely accessory for some people and useful in other ways for others.
