can be able to

0 Hello.02br
00 I major in English at university.02br
00 In my university, there is a female professor who often says 'I can be able to do --'.02br
00 I think her sentence is gramatically wrong because it's redundant, but is there any dialect that uses 'can be able to'?02br
02br
00 Also, what do you think of a university English teacher using this kind of wrong sentences in front of her students?02br
00 I'm aware of her wrong sentences, but many of those around me don't seem to notice them.0-

0 I don't know of any dialects that use such a construction. This is just a guess, but I think your teacher isn't aware that "can" and "could" aren't 100% interchangeable. Either that or she 01i00is02i00 aware, but hasn't realized that they aren't interchangeable in that particular pattern. I'd put my money on the latter.02br

00 She says 'I can be able to do --', not 'I could be able to do --'.02br
00 For example, when you say 'I can play tennis.', she says 'I can be able to play tennis.'.02br
02br
00 Also, 'will be going to do --' is one of her favorite phrases.02br
00 For example, when you say 'I will finish this by three.',
