Letter of Motivation

I’m seeking the opportunity to enroll in the residential program of MScI International Health that your esteemed institute “H University”. I believe my educational background and experience would allow me to contribute effectively to the program. After receiving practical experience in private and public health care institutions in Sudan, I have become very conscious to the lack of healthcare available in the country particularly in rural areas. This concern has driven me to seek knowledge to be able to contribute to my country’s healthcare conditions not only in the dental field but the general health criteria.
Public health has become more than a career objective but rather a life choice to contribute to society, any person involved in the medical field in Sudan can testify to the country’s poor health conditions with continuous deterioration. NGOs and privately funded organizations are the best efforts for improvements but major problems still cause barriers mainly funding, unstable economic and political conditions, the lack of education, and minimum local experts.
Seeing first hand these drastic conditions I have dedicated myself to strive in the public health sector, seeking Germany and H in particular to fulfill my internal drive to learn from one of the best. The German health system is far beyond imagination to what we are currently exposed to and education is the main driver for development. Logically I can’t expect to make a difference in my own life never the less in society unless I acquire adequate education in the field. The program at hand addressed main issued of concern required to elevate the health system in Sudan which is by far lacking in many areas not limited to planning, policy making and implementation. Poverty elevation and public health is obviously a big battle to fight, but I’m confident that I will be a strong contribution to the fight and hope that many join in the effort.
