Can anyone help me with a phrase?

I'm looking for a phrase that means

not having only positive side but comes with negetive as well...

somewhat like..

eg. 1. if you have abcd, you'll also have/to deal with wxyz

2. just like you cant have abcd at the same time...

3. kind of not having two worlds at the same time but a little bit illustrative.. comparing objects/materials may be, that comes with good and bad side.

thanks
