Topic: Some people think that social networking sites have a huge negative impact on bith individual and society. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

There are some statements to claim that people and society are significantly negative effected by social media. However, I wholeheartedly refute with this notion for several reasons, which will be discussed in the space below.

To begin with, the underlying reason for my belief is that social networking sites bring more beneficial impacts on each individual and society in study and work. Indeed, the social media sites is a facilitator in raising the opportunities to learn for different people from many countries. Besides that, for workplace meeting, it is a useful way to employees meeting their bosses or partners and thanks to it, they can spend more time in work than before. Compared with traditional ways, workers and learners have to take more time to transport even though it is a heavy rain or high temperature weather.

Another factor contributing to my standpoint is that social media sites can impart faster new information from authorities to citizens. For one thing, because of its fast-spreading nature to share public information and new rules, people can update news as soon as possible to apply them on time. Moreover, that also provides people to enlarge the public’s awareness of a particular field. For instance, people will know about what, how and when do viruses come to their village? And prevent it on time.

However, social networking sites seem to take a heavy toll on the real life of both every single individuals and society. A lot of minors and celebrities are harassed by threatening messages and unflatting photos and it leads to their serious anxiety, depression or even suicide. That is also the main reason to make them significantly reduce social cohension.

To sum up, there are always 2 sides of views but if we manage the negative view, there will be another way to bring more benefits to our life.
