Can anyone help me?

Whats wrong with the following sentences and how to fix them?

1. It is too bad that you are not here. I will make breakfast for you, if you are.
2. Instead of said, you added stuff to it. Why can't you just say, that's right but you added stuff to it? I couldn't tell if you were satisfied with the fix or not.

In what situation? I don't understand what you are trying to say in example #2. Please explain in more detail. Someone added stuff to something instead of saying something?
