Can anyone check sentences?

In these sentences I have to put the expressions, which are concerned with a reason or result:

1.The police asked his motives in speeding through the town.

2.He failed his exam as a consequence his lack of revision.

3. He refused to lend anyone money owing to people rarely repay a loan.

4.The bank manager refused to lend the company more money as a consequence its low turnover and poor sales history.

5. The school was forced to close reason for poor student attendance.
