Can anyone check my motivation letter. Changes are welcome
Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m writing to apply for the Erasmus Student Exchange Program. I would like to spend the next semester of my study course at the University of Leicester in United Kingdom.
To begin, my name is ... and currently I am a third year student at the faculty of Economics in Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. The main reason why i chose to study here was because our University is in partnership with Siegen University, which is located in Germany. Therefore my program is very interesting and all subjects are taught in English.
Myself being very hard-working and responsible, I always strive for success. Last two semesters I came top of my class and my GPA is 92.5 out of 100. In addition to that, I would like to mention that I have teamwork experience, communication and organisational skills gained from 8 months of part-time work experience. Despite the fact of being young, I quickly adapt to new challenging situations, which is an important aspect for living and studying abroad. The opportunity of studying in a different country can open wide scopes for my future.
Choosing to study Economics what motivated me was that I can try to change the world for better and overcome problems that we face today, because the possibilities with bachelor degree in economics are endless. I find the studies very fascinating and enjoyable and have a strong interest in finance, business, and how the economy works. With a degree like this you can work in a variety of different fields like banking to public policy, sales and marketing, government departments and insurance companies. By applying for the exchange programme I am sure it would strongly enrich my studies in this field and help me in my prospective career.
I would honour the golden chance of being accepted to the Erasmus exchange program in order to continue studying my favourite subjects in a new environment. I set my hopes for these 5-6 months abroad upon improving my written and spoken academic English, expanding my social circle and opening up new horizons. Also I am sure that the program would strongly enrich my studies and help me in my prospective career. As I am determined to keep on studying after getting my bachelor degree, I think that the program will exalt my academic background.
Moreover, I was always interested in abroad educational system, especially in UK and USA, and this program would give me a chance to experience one of most attractive and outstanding educational systems, expert knowledge and excellent facilities. Studying in one of the top universities in United Kingdom, the University of Leicester is a great opportunity to get in touch with English culture and education. I want to see with my own eyes and "taste" the British lifestyle.
To conclude, I deeply believe that living abroad is a crucial step into becoming independent and self-confident. This prospect of personal development is one more motivation among the numerous others that drove me to write this letter. So I would be very grateful to be granted admission for the winter-spring term of the academic year.
