Can anybody please correct these sentences

They might be correct. They just sound wrong/off to me.

"the courier hasn't made their way to the store"

"if I don't get any response, I'm going to have to terminate this call"

"To do a factory reset on your unit" (should it be "on" or "to"?)

"I had to have a look at it" (Now, thinking of it again. 'I had to have a look', sounds correct. True?)

"inform the customer about this"

"can anyone survive IN the ocean for that long"

"hopefully, the engineers will try to open the word documents by themselves"

Next is the use of 'yourself', 'yourselves'

Back drop: I work in a company that services electronic devices. Occasionally the customers can send their device in for repair.

Customer is referring to the company as a whole (but talking to me): "I sent it to yourselves"

>correct?
I'm talking to a customer now (singular): "We sent it to yourself" > Have the feeling simple "you" would suffice. Correct?

Cheers in advance.

1st sentence is OK. It's the use of the "Singular they", which can be used when you don't know the *** of the person you're referring to. 22 I don't get the meaning of the 3rd I don't know if the 6th is "legal", but I think so.

  • 1st sentence is OK.

  • 22 I don't get the meaning of the 3rd I don't know if the 6th is "legal", but I think so.
  • All the others until the 7th look good to me.
  • The "back drop", as you call it, is also OK, I think.
