Can a native English speaker who knows about sport please help?
What word goes in the blank? How could I phrase this sentence?

Lebron James average .4 more/higher ___ in all the stat categories than Kevin Durant.
Points:
James : 26.6
Durant : 26.2

Rebounds :
James : 7.7
Durant : 7.3

Assists :
James : 6.8
Durant : 6.4

Lebron James' averages in all of the statisitical categories are .4 higher than those of Kevin Durant.

I restructured the sentence and here is why: the sentence you wrote could be construed to mean that on average he is .4 higher across all categories, which could mean that in one category he is .2 higher and in another .6 higher. That isn't what you are trying to say based on the

What would go in the blank though? I keep wanting to say 'points' but 'ponits' in one of the categories, you can't say 'He averages .4 more point in points than Durant.'

What if you were talking about rebounds
'He averages .4 more point in rebounds than Durant.
