The line chart indicates the ratio of fish and meat consumption in a European country from 1979 to 2004. Overall, there were noticable fluctuations of all 4 categories and they tend to decline over 25-year period, expepted for chicken.
It can be seen from the graph that in 1979, beef was by far the most demanding meat in this country, stood at around 215grams. Over the next 5 years, it dropped down dramatically but increased again just after 2 years and reached a peak at about 240grams. However, there has been a sharp decline since 1989 and finally stopped at just over 100grams in 2004. The downward trends was also represented in lamp and fish consumption level. Lamb falled steeply from 150grams in 1979 to only 60grams in 2004, while fish had a slightly decrease and remained the least popular of all 4 kinds of food.
In contrast, chicken line showed the noticable improvement in people's demand. In 1979, it was only under 150 grams, standing behind beef and lamp. Nevertheless, it started to accelerate steadily and reach a maximum number at about 250grams in 2004.
