Call

I know that "call" can mean "decision" as in "It's your call", "He made a poor call" and also in sports where a referee or an umpire makes the "calls".
My question is, can we replace "decision" with "call" in all contexts or only in selected ones ?
Please check the following sentences ?
1. I made/took the worst call of my life when I was in 5th grade.
2. He always makes/takes the correct calls.
